It all began in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bruno Giancola, the inventor of the Wave Slide, was stuck at home in the Basque Country but his mind kept drifting back to the ocean. The problem? Bruno was in his fifties, had no surfing technique or endurance, and lugging around a surfboard felt like a full expedition!
Traditional gear was simply too technical.
So he thought: “What if I created something simple and practical but not a gimmick that makes wave riding accessible to everyone?”
