A Positive Environmental Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Environmental commitment is at the heart of Okahina Wave. Installed on existing bodies of water (lakes, rivers, protected bays), this floating wave minimizes its impact on natural ecosystems. Unlike traditional artificial wave infrastructures made of concrete, Okahina's installation is removable and does not involve concrete foundations, avoiding the sealing of land. Moreover, the floating atoll does not consume water, unlike wave pools which require a significant amount of potable water. Okahina also improves the quality of water bodies by adding suitable technologies, naturally circulating the water, and reducing harmful cyanobacteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In some locations, artificial reefs and fish nurseries will be integrated into the installations to promote local biodiversity.
